Creativity flows through Jill's veins like precious metal waiting to be shaped—a heritage passed down through generations of artists who have expressed their vision through paint, fiber, stone, and silver.
On her mother's side, the artistic tradition traces back to her grandfather, Milford "Nip" Kinslow, a rockhound and silversmith whose jewelry graced prestigious shows in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. His son, Paul Dan Kinslow, became a celebrated twentieth-century painter and photographer of the Santa Fe region, capturing the soul of the Southwest through oils, acrylics, and watercolors—his landscapes and florals appearing in galleries and collections across the country. This passion for creation continued with Jill's mother, Ruth Ann "Thann" Tolman, whose artistic expression takes many forms: intricate calligraphy, striking quilted wall hangings, and beautifully crafted handbags that have found homes in shops throughout Florida.

Jill's father's family carries an equally rich artistic tradition. Eugene "Gene" Tolman paints serene nature scenes and works precious metals into silver and gold jewelry, while also crafting elegant turned wood bowls and sculptural forms on his lathe. His sister, Cathie Tolman Todd, captures the essence of humanity through her portraits and sketches, immortalizing fleeting moments and childhood wonder through her hand-sculpted Santa expression faces.
With such a remarkable lineage—from jewelry-making grandfathers to painters, sculptors, and fiber artists—it's no wonder that Jill's own creative spirit emerged as a natural continuation of this family legacy, transforming precious materials into wearable art that carries forward generations of artistic vision and craftsmanship
